Some devices use the small USB thumb receiver common today and some use the older, USB thingie that had the connect button on it, and also would be on the keyboard or mouse too. We recently were able to find a bunch of previously used Microsoft Keyboards and mice in our stock room but are unable to locate the USB receivers for these devices. We have always purchased Microsoft brand keyboards and mice as we feel they are of the best quality. Is there any way to pair the mouse with another USB receiver? I have lost the USB receiver of my Microsoft Wireless Mobile Mouse 1000.

On Microsoft’s official forum, one of the user wrote: There are many people who has reported this problem. So what are your options when you’ve just lost the USB receiver of Microsoft mouse.

We all know, it won’t work without that receiver. One of the most horrible situations one may come is losing the receiver of USB mouse.
